Just Throw a Brick

Well, I thought I would blog a lot more this week. The other secretary hasn't come in all week so I've been pulling double duty... well, kind of, I still have to stay under 28 hours >:( But besides that, I thought it'd be super boring, and for the most part it has, I just have had boring things to do that take up all my time. Between students being upset about having to pay tuition (side note: did you know that if you go to college you have to pay for it? WHATTTT???) and being upset because they didn't pay said tuition and all their classes dropped, it has been such a busy week of faking "I'm so sorry that happened to you... (not)" that I haven't had a ton of blogging time. Besides that, most of my spare time has been devoted to creating a massive spreadsheet about where C is going to apply for graduate school. But I like doing that, because it gets me excited for our future, one where we don't live in a crappy apartment in a college town, but o...

Guys. Planning a wedding is not as easy as TLC makes it out to be. Or as dramatic. So I went wedding dress shopping with my sisters. And it was fun, and exciting, and there were all these fun things that happened, but it was also just...weird. Like take for example when your sister picks out this weirdly shaped dress and is like "PLEASE try this on, I bet it'll look so much better on you than on the hanger!" And you're like "Um, maybe...? Put it on the pile." And the pile is growing and growing until the poor sister stuck holding the dresses is no longer visible under a massive pile of white tulle. Good thing little P didn't go or she might not have survived the expedition. But first, you have to find a store that's both in your price range, your style, and not ugly. Sunday afternoon, actually. But this song still applies. Love me some Maroon 5.  Today was good. Went back to church after not being there for two weeks (I'm not a heathen, I was on vacation...) which was fun, I guess. Our ward is smaller than I remembered. Plus now we have church in a building on campus, which is lame because it's the math building, and it just reeks of nerd. Not hating on nerds (I am one, pretty much) but...yeah. Not a fan. I mean, there are lockers in this building. Like we never left high school. *grimace* Oh well. This week promises to be exciting, as THIS GIRL: We're Nerd Herders!
