Fine...A Real Post

Image
So C has informed me that's not a real post, and it puts him in a bad light. To which I replied: But he didn't like that either, and he was like: And I was like: AKA "Don't mind me, just eating my popcorn..." So for real, what's going on? My roommate had a quarter-life crisis and bought a gigantic flat-screen TV, so that's awesome. And then my OTHER roommate bought a Wii, and we were like: Sweet! So many Just Dance parties are going to be going down very very soon. Except...they're all starting school tomorrow and I don't start until next week, so they'll be sadly doing schoolwork and I'll be partying. And another good thing about this TV - it has an HDMI hookup. So now we can hook up our laptops and watch Psych on Netflix again! (If you can't tell from gif overload, I'm very excited about this.) -K

Well friends, it's been awhile, and thanks to the "gentle proddings" of R, I have decided to update yet again.  What's up. What's new with me, you ask? Well, a few things. Media Day went really well. Got to see my favorite football coach EVER like 20 feet away from me talking to all his old quarterbacks before recording a live broadcast. Probably one of the top 20 moments of my life. He is really funny. You wouldn't think it from his demeanor on the field, but he's got quite the sense of humor. Media Day and Dress up Tuesday were fun because bosslady was gone, so we got to hang out and be chill. I got to talk to some of my cool coworkers for awhile without getting dirty looks shot at me or "work, please" thrown in my face. Awwwwwwwwww yeah.  "This is me...Hugging you...Over the airwaves...mmmmmm..MMMMMM...mmmmm" +10 points if you you can tell me this episode! Anyway. So work was more chill, but she came back on Th...

Q: The quotient of 27 squared and 15 squared is the square of what number? A: 9/5 Yeah, that's right. Thought I'd switch it up from vocabulary to math today. I've been studying for a couple hours, trying to relearn all the crap I forgot about exponents and square roots. Kill me now. Studying for the GRE is kind of like this: ...and then you have to re-learn all of it. I don't hate math, I'm okay at it, but hello. There's a reason I'm in biology and not math education or something equally as distasteful. I remember watching that show Numb3rs as a kid and being like "What? People grow up and choose to do math as a job? What the heck do they do?" Of course, Charlie ended up solving mysteries with math, so that was cool. Not cool enough for me to go into forensic mathematics, however. If there is such a thing... Thirsty Thursday went pretty well, if anyone was wondering. We had some awesome treats and a fancy little container for our...

Yeah, I know it's been awhile. Bite me. Finals week is coming up and I'm fading fast. And by fading fast I mean I have zero motivation...The only way that I can get stuff done is turning up my "Classical for Studying" station on Pandora and thinking about how much it would suck to fail any of my classes. It usually does the trick (for awhile, anyways). It doesn't help that my roommates have recently decided to start watching Psych from the beginning, so we're on season one. Party hardy. I would much rather be watching Psych than doing anything for anything of my classes, true story. Last night we watched the one where Shawn pretends to be a worker at the space museum and introduces himself as "Aurora Borealis". It's a good one, look it up. You know that's right. Annoying roommate update: She has decided that Psych is an appropriate show for her to watch (??? Or maybe she ran out of MASH episodes...?) Either way, now she sits out with us...

A Tough Decision

Guess what, guys! Chem lab's over! And I think I did pretty well! We won't know for sure until the final grades come out in a couple more weeks, but it's looking good! YAY!!!! Anyways... Now it's on to my piano final. My teacher's grading me on "how much I've improved", and while I do think I've gotten better at the songs, I don't feel like it's too noticeable, so hopefully he hears something that I don't hear. I guess we'll see. In other news, I discovered my favorite episode of Psych. Or at least, my two favorites. I can't decide between Last Night Gus , Or American Duos. As you can tell, it's a hard choice. Suggestions? ~K
