All right people. I'm about to go into a sports rant.
I FREAKING LOVE THE OLYMPICS!!!
That is all.
Just kidding. Can I just say, I loved actually understanding what was happening in the Opening Ceremony, and understanding the history and the music! Don't get me wrong, I love learning about other cultures, and the Olympics are a great place to do it, but I really enjoyed understanding everything that was happening...also that all the music was in English. England is such a cool place with centuries of amazing history, and I think they did a good job of portraying that in the opening sequences with the smokestacks and such. They kept it lighthearted and fun, at the same time showing the seriousness of the Olympics and the responsibility that their city/country has to the world for the next couple of weeks. Well done, London!
