Spring Break Day 5: Ode to Suits

Image
I know I said I'd blog every day, but the fact is there wasn't much to blog about.  I go to work. I go home from work. We make dinner. We eat it. C studies. We watch Suits. The end. (PS, Donna's back, so all there is to say is YEEEEESSSSSSSS. Also every gif in here is Suits. You're welcome.) But anyway, a blog post every day that just says the same things over and over sounds awful. Post of Annoyance: Everyone in this school is gone. Everyone except the annoying person behind me who pretty much watches my every move and waits for me to screw up so she can report me to the division office. I guess a long time ago she had a program assistant, but she used her for more personal things and so she lost the privilege (?) to have one, so now she ruins everyone else's lives by toeing their assistants and complaining if it looks like we're not working. News flash - it's Spring Break. I haven't seen the leader of my programs in like - a week. There is really ...

Spring Break: Day 1

Image
Well, it's Spring Break for us out here, friends. And let me tell you, it could not have come at a better time. I'm really simultaneously looking forward to working on an empty campus and then wondering why the heck I have to be here on this empty campus. Absolutely nothing gets done this week. I talked to my trainer and she said at our college Spring Break used to be Staff Week for the staff that get left behind, and you could go to classes and they'd host meals and it was fun and you got to know all the other staff people. But now, they only do Staff Day and we have to sit here the other four days of this ridiculous break. I do not understand why we are open at all but I guess that's public school life. If you get a blog post every day this week consider yourselves #blessed. I've been in a bit of an off mood lately. ("What?!" you ask yourself, "K's in an off mood?! That NEVER HAPPENS!" Hahahahaha laugh your heads off . This one's for ...

The Force is Extremely Weak With This One

Image
As expected, all social media outlets have exploded with Star Wars. Which is fine, I was expecting it but still. Dang. I haven't seen so many posts regarding something I don't care about since "The Dress". "But why?" You ask, astounded. "Star Wars defined a generation! It made me who I am today! Without Star Wars there is no reason to live!!!" To which I reply, "Meh." I know, I'm lame. I'm extremely lame. I get that. It was a running joke in college that every boyfriend I had was like "YOU NEED TO WATCH THEM" and I would be like "Ehhhhhh", and then we'd break up and we never did...Not that breaking up was correlated to my non Star Wars knowledge (I think?)  And now I'm married and I still haven't seen them. Woo.  I have to admit, for awhile it was fun to pull out the old "I've never seen Star Wars" when playing Never Have I Ever or some other stupid game, and seeing eve...

125

Image
Guys. This is my 125th post. I have typed 125 posts over the course of five years! 125 times I've put my random thoughts down on virtual paper and sent it out for the world to read. Pretty intimidating thought. Maybe by the end of this year I'll hit 150, that would be exciting. High five! Also, today's posts will have only Castle gifs, since it's coming back next Monday and I am so excited! Also, it's the only show I've consistently liked over the course of this blog, I think. The only one that could compare would be my liking of SYTYCD, but now they have new "judges" that know nothing I'm debating even watching this upcoming season. I mean, how good could Jason Derulo possibly be at judging ballroom dance? I've got a little message for him: Or better yet, quit and bring Mary Murphy back. Hot Tamale Train forever!  In other news, it's tax day. The day your taxes are due. And guess who works in the office where EVERYONE call...

"Holidays Rule"

Do you ever just get up and think, "I hate everyone today" and it sets the tone for the whole rest of the day! That's me today, yay! Do not cross me. Believe me, it is in your best interest. What's new besides my random angst... Got a new office chair this week, and by new I mean already been sat on for like five million years but is new to the front desk. The girl behind me got a brand-new chair, where is the justice here? Instead of getting a new one, the head honcho of the office was like "actually I want a new one, you can have my old one" and I was like, am I supposed to thank her or not? Thanks for the used chair that you've been sitting on for the past decade? I mean, it probably hasn't been a decade, but still. It's the principle of the thing. I hate sitting where I know other people have sat for a long time. It inexplicably makes me uncomfortable. What else... I've been rocking the Indie Holidays station on Pandora because hello,...

A Slight Vent

Image
Ugh. It's Monday, everybody! I keep forgetting how much I hate them until they come around again. Today is no different, although it sucks even more than usual because it's FREEZING outside and my blow dryer is broken so my hair is always wet and... ugh. I just need to pony up and buy a new one, I suppose. The real reason I'm annoyed is because... I don't know how to describe it. *use your words, K...* Okay. I'm trying. I guess the main reason I'm annoyed is that people are such complainers (including myself, I'm not perfect, no way.) But my biggest annoyance are when people are like "my problem my problem my problem" on social media, but they don't understand that they brought it upon themselves. So you're poor. Big deal. Maybe if you didn't go on five million Disney trips you wouldn't be so poor. Just a thought. Ugh. It's like people complaining that they're fat and then eating an entire package of Oreos to console thems...

"Here We Go Again..."

"I kinda want to be more than friends..." Sorry, that song's been stuck in my head all day long and I needed to share it with someone. Man, I love Neon Trees...if you didn't know that already... Me and N at the Neon Trees concert last summer Yay Neon Trees! My only concert I've ever been to (unless you count Stadium of Fire). Good times! Today I had to dress up nice for work, and nobody else did (besides our one male coworker N, who looked all snazzy today too.) I guess there was a miscommunication...? I thought everyone needed to look nice but um...nobody did. Oh well. Stressful work day. Had to do a live event, and they gave us a script, then told us it was different, and then used the original one anyway :/ So annoying. It all worked out in the end, I suppose. Very stressful for awhile, though.  I'm currently being annoyed by a roommate of mine. She's hard to get along with because she's a bit of a shy girl, so she only goes to...

"Buckaroo Bard"

Image
...is the title of the show I had to caption today. No joke. An hour of cowboy poetry. It was heinous. Just imagine, an hour of listening to bad poetry narrated by this mustached wonder: Vomiting on the inside Yeah. Rough going. Plus, my boss hired two more people, and we really don't need them. At all. We've already been way ahead of all our work since the summer started, and hiring more people really annoyed me. Now I get to fight over computers with the new girls, and one of them's engaged :/ Just my luck. I suppose it serves me right, since all I do is get annoyed by engaged people. But they're so annoying... *sigh* What else have I been up to lately...my little sister/best friend is graduating on Thursday and Grandma flew in today from Montana, so that's kind of exciting. It'll be a week full of family, woo! I've never been to a graduation besides my own, so that'll be kind of fun...or not. Her graduating class is over 500 people, so that...

WARNING: VENTING AHEAD!!!!

Image
You have been sufficiently warned. If you're looking for something that will bring a gentle smile to your face, like a bunch of kittens or something, I've got a website for you. Google Images. If you're here to read about my ANNOYING roommate, read on, friends. You ready for this? Okay. First of all, you should know that I will do almost anything to avoid contention with roommates. I've found that if you pick your battles extremely selectively (like for me, when it comes to the A/C), you get a lot farther than crying about everything. True story. So I complain a lot when I get in mediums like this because I know they're never going to read/never care to read/never even think that I would have a blog. I'm just going to make a bullet list of problems, if it's all the same to you. Shake up the format, and all. Chronologically through the day, if possible.  First thing in the morning. Truth is, I don't really like talking to people in the morning, but...

The Dish Fairy

Sometimes I get annoyed. It doesn't take a lot to annoy me, but it takes a lot to get me to tell you about it. I'm kind of a roll-with-the-punches kind of girl. But let me tell you, I'm getting really close to throwing out some punches with the current dish situation. Yes, the dish situation. Didn't you just feel a tingle of dread run down your spine? I know I did. Here's the thing. I think my roommates think there's a dish fairy that magically comes and does the dishes and leaves them all sparkling clean so they can have clean pots for their Pasta Roni and clean bowls for their Special K. I am not kidding. I swear. It's like when there's no dishes because I don't have time and I'm sick of doing them all week, they're like, "What? We have no bowls!!!", and I'm like "no DUH". And then when they do do the dishes (once every month or so), they're like "I did the dishes! Now we have clean ones!" like they...
